Job summary

EMAG Group is seeking a Field Service Engineer to commission CNC machines and automation cells, diagnose issues, and coordinate with engineering and service teams. Travel will be regional, with remote/home-based work within NC/SC and frequent trips to customer facilities.

You will document activities, contribute to service bulletins, and lead safety-focused training while maintaining high safety and professionalism in all field engagements.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent experience required.
• 3–5 years with a machine tool company or equivalent mix of education and experience.
• Solid understanding of EMAG or similar machine tools and automation platforms.
• Working knowledge of ISO 9001; basic ISO 14001 knowledge.
• Strong safety mindset and ability to maintain organized work area.

Responsibilities

• Commission and certify CNC machines and automation cells to specification.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and control issues using documentation and on-site inspection.
• Lead corrective actions and coordinate with engineering and customer service to accelerate resolution.
• Provide on-site troubleshooting support and technical guidance.
• Document service activities and analyze recurring issues for improvements.
• Author or update service bulletins and handbooks based on field insights.
• Lead safety-focused training sessions for customers and internal teams.
• Serve as communication bridge between customers and EMAG to ensure a superior service experience.
• Maintain safety and housekeeping standards; represent EMAG professionally.
