Job summary

Ellison Technologies is seeking a field-service technician to install, commission, and service CNC machining centers and turning centers across Iowa. You will perform preventive maintenance to maximize uptime and troubleshoot complex mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues on-site for our diverse client base.

You will resolve customer concerns, provide timely sales support, and maintain clear communications with customers and internal teams.

Qualifications

• CNC machine tools experience installing, maintaining or repairing (machining and turning).
• Mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical troubleshooting expertise.
• Strong customer service, communication, and follow-through.

• Own your cases/projects; document work comprehensively in customer records and technical files.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Territory and travel

• Primary focus: Iowa
• Regional coverage: IA, MN, MO
• Travel: ~50% with paid travel time (not a national road-warrior position)

What you'll bring

• Demonstrated experience installing, maintaining, or repairing CNC machine tools (machining and turning).
• Depth in mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical troubleshooting.
• Strong customer service, communication, and follow-through.
