Formulatrix, a leading provider of protein crystallization automation and liquid handling solutions, is seeking a field engineer to join our world-class support team. You should enjoy working with people, fixing customer issues, and traveling.

The role focuses on liquid handling and protein crystallography instruments, with on-site installations and remote support available. You will troubleshoot high-end biotech automation equipment and demonstrate features of the latest software to customers.

Qualifications

Associate's or Bachelor’s degree desirable but not required.
3+ years of field service, application engineering, or technical customer support preferred.
Affinity for fixing things.
Comfortable with computers, networking, and basic IT-related activities.
Quick learner with strong interpersonal skills.
Experience with robotics, software, microfluidics, and optics is a plus.

Responsabilités

On-site installations and maintenance of lab equipment on the east coast, and possibly across the U.S. depending on the needs of our customers and the schedules of other support engineers.
Customer training and support from home and in the field, via phone, email, or remote access tools such as TeamViewer.
Up to 60% overnight travel. This means up to 60% of your time could be spent traveling (usually by flight) anywhere within the US or Canada, or (on very rare occasions) potentially even beyond, depending on the situation.
Record customer interactions and issues in the internal CRM database.
Provide detailed notes of on-site support work.
Follow up with engineers and product managers to ensure customer issues have been addressed.
