Job summary

BD is seeking an Automation Servicer Engineer to service BD Advanced Diagnostics instruments across a geographic region and on national requests. The role requires self‑direction, remote work ability, and potential overnight travel to support customers and installations.

Minimum qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in engineering or related fields and solid electronics, mechatronics, PLC, and pneumatics knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Electronic Technology, Computer Science, Biomedical or related disciplines.
• Understanding of electronics, electro‑mechanical devices, PLCs, and pneumatics.
• Intermediate knowledge of information systems networking architecture design and setup.
• Intermediate understanding of computer software operating systems and ability to coordinate software upgrades with IT and lab leadership.

Responsibilities

• Respond to customer needs and perform installations, maintenance, upgrades, and repairs of instruments.
• Drive field service revenue through preventive maintenance and equipment moves.
• Communicate work performed and provide follow‑up plans to customers.
• Collaborate with customers to schedule and complete system upgrades; document issues in ticketing systems.
