Job summary

Gator Bio is seeking a Field Service Engineer to install, repair, calibrate, and maintain BLI instrumentation at customer sites. You will document activities, diagnose issues, and provide exceptional support to researchers using Gator Bio tools.

Travel will be extensive (Domestic and International), with responsibilities across installation, validation, and service tasks to minimize downtime and ensure reliability of the Gator Bio instrument suite.

Qualifications

• BS in bioengineering, engineering, optical engineering, or related field.
• Three years hands-on instrumentation service experience.
• Ability to troubleshoot, test, repair and service technical and mechanical equipment.
• Ability to adapt to changes in work schedule and travel 50-75%.

Responsibilities

• Manage, perform, and document on-site installation, repair, calibration, maintenance, inspection, and testing of BLI instrumentation.
• Diagnose alarms, errors, or technical problems and implement solutions.
• Triage, schedule, and provide customer support by phone, email, or in-person.
• Document tasks and visits in the CRM system.
• Report quality issues to QMS and complete tasks promptly.

Education

Bachelor's degree in bioengineering, engineering, optical engineering, or related field
