Job summary

LGC is seeking a Field Service Engineer II to deliver service on laboratory instrumentation and consumables at customer sites in the United States. You will perform installations, training, maintenance, repairs, and system improvements while traveling domestically and internationally as needed.

The role requires a 2-year technical degree or equivalent experience, 3 years in Field Service, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• 2-year degree in a mechanical, industrial, or electrical technical field with knowledge in the application of basic engineering principles, theories, and techniques or equivalent amount of experience
• 3 years’ experience in Field Service
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record
• Must have a clean criminal record due to travel visa qualification requirements

Responsibilities

• Delivers industry leading service through instrument installations, training, preventative maintenance, repairs, operational assistance, and trade shows to customers and operators.
• Provides on-call emergency service support and troubleshooting 24/7 with up to 75% travel, domestic and international.
• On-site support for technical issues, start-up, commissioning, testing, repair, and preventative maintenance of equipment.
• Delivers on-site operator and technical training to customers and keeps updated on new products and markets.
• Leads and collaborates with other FSEs and Technical Advisor team to resolve customer issues and drive process improvements

Education

2-year degree in mechanical, industrial, or electrical technical field
