Glatt Group is seeking a field-based Engineer to provide on-site support for equipment and control systems across the U.S., Canada, and Puerto Rico. You will conduct FATs, commissioning, training, and troubleshooting, and act as the primary liaison with customers.

The role requires travel up to 80%, a strong automation background, and experience with Allen Bradley/Siemens PLCs, iFix/Wonderware SCADA, and NFPA/NEC/NEMA standards. Fluency in customer communication is essential.

Qualifikationen

• Up to 80% overnight travel.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Associate degree, trade school, or 5 years of related experience.
• Strong experience with Variable Frequency Drives.
• Allen Bradley PLCs (Siemens experience is a plus).
• Electrical wiring practices and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with PLC and SCADA systems (iFix and/or Wonderware).
• Industry standards such as NFPA, NEC, NEMA.

Aufgaben

• Conduct on-site services such as equipment FATs, commissioning, training, troubleshooting, and warranty support.
• Perform field installation and retrofits of control systems and equipment, including development of instructional documents.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues during site visits.
• Act as liaison between Glatt and the customer, reporting issues, delays, and scope changes.
• Collaborate with Project Managers throughout the entire lifecycle of assigned projects.
• Submit labor summaries, trip reports, and expense documentation.
• Document all service activities through checklists, markups, and protocols.
• Respond to field service requests with scheduling flexibility (short- and long-term).
• Provide rebuilds, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and safety evaluations.
• Offer technical support via phone and follow-up to ensure resolution.
• Give design feedback to the Process Automation department.
• Maintain high-quality service standards for internal and external clients.
• Foster positive relationships with clients and Glatt colleagues globally.
• Stay informed on industry trends and emerging technologies.
• Maintain clear communication with supervisors and keep workspace organized.
• Be physically able to climb ladders and work in confined spaces.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
