Job summary

Airco Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Ltd seeks an experienced Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Service Engineer for the North East. The role involves mobile field service across diverse sectors, diagnosing faults, performing preventative maintenance, and delivering high standards of workmanship and safety.

You will work with VRV systems, chillers and cold rooms, contributing to a prestigious client base and continuous professional development.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning with F-Gas/EN 378 compliance.
• Strong knowledge of refrigeration and electrical principles.
• Hands-on experience with VRV systems, cold rooms, chillers and close control units.
• Experience fault finding on data centre cooling and water chillers.
• Solid understanding of industry standards and regulatory compliance.
• Proactive, well-organised and capable communicator.
• Professional and customer-focused service mindset.
• Flexible and reliable.

Responsibilities

• Mobile engineer responsible for field service across client sites.
• Diagnose faults and implement effective solutions.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance and safety-focused work.
• Maintain high workmanship standards and adhere to best practices.
• Participate in 24-hour on-call rota and responsive support.
• Assist in site surveys, prepare reports and quotes for clients.
