Job summary

Renishaw is seeking a Service & Support Engineer based in West Dundee, IL. The role involves on-site installation, preventive maintenance and repair of advanced 3D additive manufacturing equipment, with frequent travel to customer sites.

You will diagnose electrical and mechanical issues, provide training and support to customers, and generate detailed service reports to ensure top-quality service and rapid issue resolution.

Qualifications

• Associates or Technical College degree in mechanical, electrical or automation engineering.
• Up to 2 years of related field service experience in additive manufacturing or CNC machining.
• ITAR data access eligibility may be required to work with controlled information.

Responsibilities

• Assist on-site at customer location to prepare site and install new machines and ancillary equipment.
• Install, commission, and ensure safe operation of Renishaw equipment at customer sites.
• Provide safety, operation and maintenance training; perform preventive maintenance tasks.
• Diagnose and repair technical issues; identify parts to replace and manage spare parts.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems and determine effective solutions.
• Produce detailed service, time and expense reports for clients and Renishaw.
