Job summary

Renishaw is seeking a Machine Tool Applications Engineer to install and train customers on Renishaw machine tool products. The role involves developing hardware/software solutions, generating software, and providing technical support across multiple industries with substantial US travel and occasional international travel.

The candidate will collaborate with Customer Service, Marketing and National Sales, and may work with the UK product development team to introduce new products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Engineer Technology, Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Electrical skills (understanding of schematics/relays/wiring/PLC)
• Experience with CNC machine tools and CNC programming (G/M code)
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills
• Comfortable operating and programming CNC equipment in a manufacturing environment

Responsibilities

• Install Renishaw Machine Tool Products on CNC machines.
• Develop hardware/software solutions based on customer requirements.
• Generate and install software for Renishaw products.
• Conduct training on Renishaw Machine Tool Products at customer sites.
• Conduct product training for Renishaw staff.
• Provide technical support for sales and marketing.
• Work closely with UK product development team.
• Assist with introduction of new products.
• Setup and attend trade shows.
• Other duties as assigned or requested.
