Job summary

Renishaw USA is seeking a Service and Support Engineer to cover the Greater Chicago area. The role involves on-site installation, commissioning and maintenance of Renishaw’s 3D additive manufacturing products, with significant travel of 40-60% typically and up to 90% domestically.

Candidates should have an associates or technical college degree in mechanical/electrical/automation engineering and 4+ years of related field service experience. ITAR data access eligibility is required.

Qualifications

• Associates or technical college degree in mechanical, electrical or automation engineering.
• 4+ years of field service experience in additive manufacturing or CNC machining (or equivalent experience).
• Must be eligible to access ITAR controlled data as required.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, and service Renishaw machines and ancillary equipment at customer sites.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repair tasks.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues and diagnose failures.
• Prepare and submit detailed service reports including time and expenses.
• Coordinate spare parts and order parts as needed for interventions.
• Travel and arrange site visits efficiently and cost-effectively.
