Job summary

Emerson is seeking a Field Engineer based in Miami, FL to provide expert support for PLCs and DCS systems on customer sites. You will join a team of engineers responsible for installation, start-up, and operation of distributed control systems, traveling to customer locations across North America as needed.

The role requires a Bachelor's in engineering or related field, experience with ControlWave SCADA, basic networking skills, and a willingness to travel up to 70-80%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical field.
• Experience with ControlWave SCADA.
• Understanding of basic networking and computer assembly/troubleshooting.
• Willingness to travel up to 70-80%, including weekends and 1–3 week overnight stays.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Valid US driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site instruction and maintain procedures, tests, and reports.
• Direct the installation and modification of control systems and subsystems.
• Provide engineering advisory support to customers and internal teams.
• Build and nurture relationships with project teams and contractors.
