Job summary

Scorpion Therapeutics seeks a Field Service Engineer 2 to install, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair medical imaging and diagnostic equipment at healthcare facilities.

You will lead equipment installations, perform preventative maintenance, resolve service issues, and ensure regulatory compliance while maintaining strong customer relationships; some travel to the Columbia, SC area and possible overnight stays may be required.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree plus relevant experience; military equivalent acceptable.
• High school diploma with 6+ years in the industry also qualifies.
• 3+ years servicing medical equipment or military equivalent is required.

Field Service Engineer 2, responsible for installing, troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing medical imaging and diagnostic equipment to ensure optimal healthcare service delivery.

Objectives

Performing preventative maintenance, resolving service issues, leading equipment installations, and driving customer satisfaction through service excellence.

Responsibilities

Managing customer relationships, escalating issues as needed, adhering to regulatory and hospital protocols, and supporting revenue growth through upselling value-added services.

Qualifications

Associate's or Bachelor's degree with at least 3 years of experience servicing medical equipment; or military equivalent; or a high school diploma with 6+ years of industry experience.

Must hold a valid driver's license and be comfortable working onsite at healthcare facilities within the Columbia SC area, with potential overnight travel.

Skills

Experience with medical device troubleshooting, service repair, installations, customer communication, and familiarity with web applications and Microsoft Office.

Preferred

Experience servicing advanced modalities such as X-ray, CT, or Nuclear Medicine equipment.
