Job summary

PennEngineering® is seeking a motivated field service engineer to support customers on-site in Michigan. The role focuses on installing, validating, and servicing mechanical and electropneumatic systems used in MAF applications and die tooling.

You will travel 25-50% to nearby states, provide training to customers, generate service reports, and collaborate with the team to implement improvements and best practices.

Qualifications

• Proven competency in mechanical systems (simple and complex).
• Basic practical knowledge of electropneumatic systems.
• Strong interpersonal skills for communicating with customers and team.
• Experience with tooling and die operations is beneficial but not required.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams.
• Travel 25-50% to customers in surrounding states; occasional multi-day visits.

• Create and share service reports explaining visit information in a timely manner.

Position Summary

We are looking for a motivated field service engineer to support our customers onsite. The goal is to provide top notch support to the local customers. PROFIL specializes in mechanically attached fasteners (MAF) both in die (Transfer & Progressive) and Manual operations (C- frame & Hand load cell).

Requirements

• Support the customer professionally and effectively for planned and unplanned visits.
• Diagnose & troubleshoot issues with installation heads, fastener feeders, and electropneumatic kits (in-die & manual operations).

Skills & Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal skills are required for communicating with the team and the customer.
• Experience in tool & die (Presses & Dies) is beneficial but not required.
• Good verbal and written skills are highly sought VIA Microsoft tools (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams)
• Transportation: This position requires travel 25-50% of the time to customers in the surrounding states. In most cases the distance is within 3 hours of home. Occasional multi-day visits are required
