Job summary

Modern Machining Solutions Inc. in MEMPHIS, TN is seeking a Field Service Engineer to install, service, and maintain automated lab instrumentation. The role requires strong electronics and electro-mechanical troubleshooting skills and overnight travel within the greater Memphis area.

Candidates should have a certificate or AAS in electronics and a minimum of 3 years in field service. A healthcare instrumentation background is a plus, and COVID-19 vaccination is required for employment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years field service experience.
• Experience servicing medical lab analyzers or other medical instrumentation is a plus.
• Overnight travel required.
• Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

Responsibilities

• Install, service, and perform preventive maintenance on instrumentation.
• Establish a solid customer relations foundation.
• Coordinate problem resolution within the Field Support Group.
• Maintain car inventory and trunk stock of parts and tools.
• Provide basic on-site training on the operation of company instrumentation.

**** No Relocation. Need to reside within in the greater MEMPHIS, TN area

Service medical laboratory equipment (hematology, chemistry, coagulation, etc) for this manufacturer of medical laboratory analyzers. Current or recent Field Service experience in the Medical Device industry is preferred. You will be servicing automated robotic lab instrumentation in the greater MEMPHIS, TN area.

Position requires a good electronics & electro-mechanical troubleshooting background.

Qualifications

• A Certificate or AAS Degree in electronics or a related discipline is required.


• Good experience with electronics & electro-mechanical troubleshooting.


• Overnight travel will be required


• Minimum of 3 years experience as a field service engineer


• Experience servicing medical lab analyzers or other medical instrumentation would be a plus.


• This job requires the individual to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
