Job summary

MDS Staffing is seeking an experienced Field Service Engineer to service and maintain medical laboratory analyzers in the greater MEMPHIS, TN area. The role requires installing, servicing, and preventive maintenance of automated lab instrumentation, with overnight travel expected and a solid electronics/electro-mechanical troubleshooting background.

Candidates must have a Certificate or AAS in electronics, at least 3 years of field service experience, and be fully vaccinated for COVID-19.

Qualifications

• Certificate or AAS degree in electronics or related discipline required.
• Good experience with electronics and electro-mechanical troubleshooting.
• Overnight travel will be required.
• Minimum of 3 years experience as a field service engineer.
• Experience servicing medical lab analyzers or other medical instrumentation is a plus.
• Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

Responsibilities

• Install, service and perform preventive maintenance on instrumentation.
• Establish a solid customer relations foundation.
• Coordinate problem resolution within the Field Support Group.
• Maintain car inventory, tools and parts.
• Provide on-site basic training on instrument operation.

Service medical laboratory equipment (hematology, chemistry, coagulation, etc) for this manufacturer of medical laboratory analyzers. Current or recent Field Service experience in the Medical Device industry is preferred. You will be servicing automated robotic lab instrumentation in the greater MEMPHIS, TNarea.

Position requires a good electronics & electro-mechanical troubleshooting backgrounnd.

• Base salary 65K - 85K depending on experience (overtime & performance bonus should add an additional 4K - 8K annually, probably more.).
