We are working with a specialist technology company that designs and manufactures precision equipment used within the semiconductor and advanced technology industries.

Due to continued growth, they are looking for a Field Service Engineer to join their team and support customers across the Northeast and New England region.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Field Service Engineer who enjoys working with complex electromechanical equipment, troubleshooting technical issues and being out in the field with customers.

You don't necessarily need previous semiconductor experience. The company is open to engineers from a range of technical backgrounds, particularly those who have experience servicing electromechanical, automation, scientific, precision or capital equipment.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Travel to customer sites throughout the Northeast / New England region.
  • Install, commission and service specialist equipment.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical and electromechanical issues.
  • Carry out preventative maintenance, repairs and equipment upgrades.
  • Calibrate and test equipment to ensure it is operating correctly.
  • Work closely with customers to resolve technical issues and provide excellent service.
  • Document service activities, repairs and equipment performance.
  • Provide technical feedback to internal engineering and support teams.
  • Support customers with equipment operation and basic technical training where required.
  • Maintain a high standard of safety and professionalism while working on customer sites.
What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate will have previous Field Service Engineering or Field Service Technician experience, ideally working with sophisticated technical equipment.

Experience with semiconductor equipment would be highly beneficial, but is not essential.

  • Electromechanical systems
  • Sensors and instrumentation
  • Motors, drives and actuators
  • PLCs / controls
  • Pneumatic systems
  • Calibration and testing
  • Equipment installation and commissioning
The Person

We're looking for someone who is:

  • Comfortable travelling regularly throughout the Northeast / New England.
  • Organised and able to manage multiple customer requirements.
  • A strong communicator who can explain technical issues clearly.

  • Significant exposure to the semiconductor and advanced technology sectors.
  • Full technical training provided on the company's equipment.
  • Opportunity to develop your career within a specialist technology business.
