Job summary

TaBb Talent Solutions' client, a global leader in semiconductor manufacturing, seeks a Field Service Engineer to install, maintain, and repair advanced equipment in Hillsboro, Oregon. You’ll work on-site with customers, acting as a technical liaison between sites and a worldwide engineering organization.

  • Participate in daily operational meetings and coordinate service activities within a cleanroom manufacturing environment.
  • Ensure company service methodologies and best practices are consistently followed.

Job description

This role is Monday-Friday, standard business hours with a flexible work schedule. Compensation is hourly with ~10 hours of OT weekly. On call requirements (with on call pay), which include being paid for a minimum of four hours if a call is received.

Role Summary:

We are seeking a Field Service Engineer to join a growing team supporting highly complex semiconductor manufacturing equipment in Hillsboro, Oregon. This position offers the opportunity to work directly with cutting-edge technology while serving as a key technical liaison between customers and a globally recognized engineering organization.

The Field Service Engineer will be responsible for equipment installation, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and issue resolution within a customer production environment. Success in this role requires strong technical aptitude, excellent customer-facing communication skills, and the ability to effectively diagnose and resolve complex equipment challenges in a fast-paced setting.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline or related technical field.
  • 2+ years of Field Service Engineering experience supporting complex equipment.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Semiconductor industry experience.
  • Knowledge of electron beam (eBeam) technology and/or magnetic optics.
  • Experience with digital electronics, schematics, and high-voltage power systems.
  • Familiarity with ultra-high vacuum systems.
  • Working knowledge of Linux/UNIX operating systems and command-line environments.
  • Cleanroom and semiconductor fabrication facility experience.
  • Experience supporting highly complex capital equipment in a customer-facing service role.
