This position will be primarily based in the Greater Houston, TX area.

As a Field Service Engineer for Agilent, you will work at various labs, so a willingness to continuously learn about new instruments, software, and consumables is essential. Applying your communication skills, creativity, and a can-do attitude is crucial. The role involves solving customer problems and delivering the highest levels of customer service to build customer success.

  • Install and optimize hardware/software/network products and configurations at customer sites.
  • Diagnose and resolve product performance issues.
  • Perform maintenance and repair services.
  • Advise customers on preventive maintenance and configurations to optimize product performance, ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Proactively address potential equipment or software issues to prevent unplanned disruptions.
  • Deliver fully integrated solutions, including peripherals, communications, operating systems, and applications software (note: does not involve designing solutions).
  • Serve as an internal resource on technical issues, managing product escalations, and collaborating with teams such as Support, Sales, Marketing, and R&D to provide solutions.
  • Overnight travel required, averaging two or fewer nights per week.

MUST reside in the Houston, TX area.

Must consent to participate and meet Agilent's credentialing requirements to access customer sites, which may include proof of identification, certification, health and safety compliance, etc.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in a science field such as chemistry, analytical chemistry, biochemistry, biotechnology, or relevant work experience.
  • At least 2 years of experience with LC, LCMS, LCQTOF instruments in a similar role or as an end user.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with Agilent solutions is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to travel overnight, averaging two nights or less per week.
Additional Details

This is a full-time position with a weekly schedule, offering options for remote work. Applications are accepted until at least April 23, 2025, or until the position is filled. In the US, the role includes a choice of a company car or reimbursement for personal vehicle use.

The pay range is $33.23 - $51.92/hr, plus potential bonuses, stock, and benefits. Pay is determined by role, level, location, skills, experience, and education. More details are available at: https://careers.agilent.com/locations
