Job summary

Compass Resourcing Group, LLC is seeking a Field Service Technician to install, commission, test, troubleshoot, and maintain power distribution equipment at client sites across the United States. This role requires hands-on capability, independent work in demanding environments, and travel 40–60% with time in the Tomball shop.

Ideal candidates will have electrical troubleshooting skills, the ability to read diagrams, and a safety-focused mindset.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of electrical field service or related experience.
• Ability to read electrical drawings and schematics.
• Willingness to travel frequently and work extended hours when required.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to customer sites.
• NETA, NFPA 70E, OSHA training or certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install and field integrate medium- and low-voltage equipment and systems.
• Perform startup, commissioning, testing, and validation of distribution systems.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and control issues in the field.
• Document commissioning results and field reports; update punch lists.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineering, and customers during field activities.
• Travel to customer sites and support field execution with safety at the forefront.
• Provide professional field representation and ensure quality workmanship.
