Job summary

WolfRayet in Gainesville, FL is seeking an Electrical Assembly & Field Service Engineer to lead the electrical assembly, wiring, testing, startup, and field support of our infrared oven systems. This role combines shop work with customer interaction and requires travel across North America.

You will build control panels, wire systems, commission equipment, troubleshoot PLCs and electrical issues, and support customers during installation and startup, ensuring UL508A and NEC compliance.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of industrial electrical assembly or automation experience.
• Experience with industrial control panels, relay logic, PLC systems, VFDs, HMIs, and temperature control systems.
• Strong electrical troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and wire industrial control panels and field devices from engineering drawings.
• Interpret electrical schematics, PLC wiring diagrams, and component layouts.
• Perform electrical assembly of custom infrared oven systems.
• Assist with field assembly during customer installations and commissioning.
• Troubleshoot electrical, PLC, instrumentation, and control system issues in shop and field.
• Train customers on equipment operation and basic troubleshooting.
• Ensure compliance with UL508A, NEC and company standards.
