Job summary

JMI Recruiting Services, LLC is assisting a client, an industrial manufacturer, in finding a Field Service and Technical Support Manager for the Youngstown, Ohio area. You will lead commissioning and field service activities, ensure safety, schedules, and budgets while coordinating engineers and technicians.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited university.
• Experience in project management, technical support, or field service management, preferably involving industrial equipment.
• Strong problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead commissioning and field service activities, ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within established budgets.
• Coordinate field service engineering resources and technician schedules, assigning the appropriate personnel to each project.
• Manage customer communications throughout commissioning and service projects, providing regular updates on project status, progress, issues, and required actions.
• Coordinate customer troubleshooting support by phone or remote visual platforms when technicians are unable to respond immediately.
• Monitor commissioning budgets and communicate additional scope, site conditions, and purchase order modifications to customers as needed.
