Job summary

Voith Group is seeking a Field Service Expert – Automation to support its Pulp and Paper customers across North America. The role focuses on installation, startup, troubleshooting, and optimization of Voith automation systems at customer sites, with remote support when suitable.

Candidates should have a Bachelor’s in electrical/controls engineering, 5+ years of process control in paper manufacturing, and hands-on PLC experience with Siemens and Rockwell.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical/controls engineering.
• 5+ years process control experience in the paper manufacturing industry.
• Onsite PLC programming experience on Siemens and Rockwell.
• Willingness to travel up to 60%, including international travel.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide automation and control system services to pulp and paper customers in North America.
• Perform commissioning, startup, checkout, troubleshooting, and emergency support for Voith automation systems.
• Diagnose and optimize automation systems to improve reliability and production efficiency.
• Develop and modify control logic and operator displays using Siemens and Rockwell platforms.
• Deliver technical training to customer maintenance personnel and prepare detailed service reports.
