Job summary

Voith Group in Appleton, WI is seeking a Field Service Expert - Automation to deliver DCS and automation support at pulp and paper customers across North America, mostly on-site at customer locations with remote support where appropriate.

The role focuses on ensuring safe, reliable operation and maximizing equipment performance through installation, checkout, commissioning, startup, troubleshooting, maintenance and emergency support of Voith automation systems.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in electrical or controls engineering required.
5+ years of process control experience in the paper industry preferred.
Onsite PLC programming experience with Siemens and Rockwell Automation.

Responsibilities

Provide automation and control system services to customers in the Pulp and Paper industry for existing equipment and new systems.
Perform commissioning, startup, checkout, troubleshooting and emergency support for Voith automation systems.
Diagnose, repair and optimise automation systems to improve reliability and production efficiency.
Develop, modify and maintain control logic using Siemens and Rockwell platforms.
Deliver technical training to customer maintenance and operations personnel.
Promote Voith products and services at customer facilities.
Collaborate with customers to review spare parts needs and improve uptime.
