Job summary

LVI Associates is seeking a Field Service Automation Engineer in Milford, MA to install, commission and service industrial automation systems. You will program Rockwell PLCs, develop HMI/SCADA apps with FactoryTalk ME/SE, and troubleshoot VFDs and field devices.

The role demands hands-on field experience, OSHA 10 certification, and strong communication skills to support customers and projects across the Boston to Groton area. Local travel is required.

Qualifications

• OSHA 10 certification is required.
• 5–10 years of field service experience in industrial automation.
• Strong ability to read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and P&ID.
• Experience with Rockwell PLCs and HMI/SCADA development using FactoryTalk ME/SE.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and highly organized.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, commission and service industrial automation systems.
• Program and troubleshoot Rockwell PLCs and HMI/SCADA applications.
• Diagnose issues with VFDs, panels, instrumentation and field devices.
• Read schematics and P&IDs to support field activities.
• Provide on-site technical support and customer training.
• Document changes and recommendations; coordinate with engineering teams.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and site safety standards.
