Job summary

Clarke Energy US is seeking a Generator Repair Apprentice to support distributed power plant solutions and ensure optimal performance of INNIO gas engines and generators. You will work with engineers and technicians to diagnose issues, perform routine maintenance, and contribute to reliability across multiple sites.

The role offers a remote-friendly 4/10 schedule, safety-focused environment, and opportunities for hands-on training, professional development, and growth within a global energy

Qualifications

• Technical background including basic engine fundamentals and electro-mechanical systems.
• IT skills for data analysis, reporting, and remote troubleshooting.
• Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with customers and engineers.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in changing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Progress through Technician Tier by increasing knowledge and hands-on experience with INNIO gas engines and generators.
• Provide exceptional customer service by diagnosing issues and ensuring satisfaction.
• Diagnose and resolve equipment issues remotely using advanced technologies.
• Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes and part replacements to ensure performance.
• Collaborate with engineers and technicians to implement improvements and stay updated on trends.
• Adhere to safety protocols to ensure a safe and compliant environment.

As a Generator Repair Apprentice, you will play a crucial role in supporting and maintaining our distributed power plant solutions. You will work closely with our team to ensure the optimal performance and reliability of our equipment, while also contributing to our ongoing growth and success.

Key Responsibilities

• Technical Expertise : Progress through our Technician Tier system by increasing your knowledge and skills, including hands-on experience with INNIO gas engines, TPI RNG Solutions, and MAN gas engines.
• Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service by promptly addressing equipment issues, troubleshooting problems, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Remote Support: Utilize advanced technologies to diagnose and resolve equipment issues remotely, minimizing downtime and maximizing efficiency.
• Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks, including engine oil changes, part replacements, and data collection, to ensure optimal equipment performance.
• Collaboration: Work closely with our team of engineers and technicians to identify and implement improvements, optimize processes, and stay updated on industry trends.
• Safety: Adhere to strict safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe and compliant work environment.

Qualifications

• Technical Background: Strong understanding of basic engine fundamentals, electrical systems, and electro-mechanical systems. Gas engine mechanical and/or electrical knowledge / experience. Gas/Diesel engine powered generator training or equivalent technical education.
• IT Skills: Proficiency in using computer systems and software for data analysis, reporting, and remote troubleshooting.
• Problem-Solving : Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think critically to identify and resolve equipment issues.
• Communication: Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with customers, colleagues, and engineers.
• Adaptability: Ability to work independently and as part of a team, and to adapt to changing priorities and challenges.
