Job summary

Rehlko is seeking a Senior Project Manager to plan, organize, and deliver data center power generation projects, including Jenbacher engine installations and BOP infrastructure. You will lead cross-functional teams to meet schedule, budget, and quality goals with direct client interaction.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Engineering or 8+ years in power generation or data center construction.
  • Proven experience managing large-scale EPC projects.
  • Knowledge of HSE, Quality, and commissioning protocols.
  • Strong understanding of power generation, including reciprocating engines.
  • Proficient in MS Office and scheduling/project controls software.
  • Willingness to travel nationally for project sites.
  • Experience with Procore, Primavera P6 or similar tools.
  • Experience with multi-engine containerized solutions and utility interconnects.
  • Authorized to work in the US without sponsorship now or in future.

Responsibilities

  • Lead cross-functional project teams including engineering staff, subcontractors and site personnel.
  • Conduct routine site walks and leadership meetings for safety and schedule alignment.
  • Manage performance and delivery against timelines, scope and quality standards.
  • Organize coordination meetings and one-to-one sessions to monitor progress.
  • Provide training and mentorship to improve project delivery.
  • Liaise with clients and developers to align goals and resolve issues.
  • Negotiate milestones, critical path activities and terms with clients.
  • Develop and manage detailed construction and commissioning schedules.
  • Forecast costs and monitor revenue recognition aligned with contracts.
  • Ensure compliance with HSE, quality and environmental standards.
  • Manage internal and subcontracted resources to maintain momentum.
  • Evaluate vendors and subcontractors for value and reliability.
  • Report progress and risks to leadership and stakeholders.

The Senior Project Manager will plan, organize, and manage assigned data center power generation projects, including Jenbacher engine installations and balance of plant (BOP) infrastructure, ensuring successful completion on time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of the client and Clarke Energy.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage cross-functional project teams for assigned data center power generation projects, including Clarke Energy engineering staff, subcontractors, and site personnel.
  • Conduct routine site walks and leadership meetings to ensure safety compliance and real-time schedule alignment.
  • Manage overall performance and delivery of projects against contractual timelines, scope, and quality standards.
  • Organize and facilitate regular internal coordination meetings and one-to-one sessions with key team members to monitor progress, resolve issues, and keep the project on track.
  • Provide training and mentorship opportunities for team members to improve performance and project delivery capabilities.
  • Liaise with data center clients and developers to interpret project goals, resolve issues, and advise leadership on contractual deviations.
  • Negotiate and agree on project milestones, critical path activities, and commercial terms with client representatives.
  • Develop and manage detailed construction and commissioning schedules using tools such as Microsoft Project or Primavera P6.
  • Partner with the Finance Director to forecast and track project costs, payment milestones, and revenue recognition aligned with contract obligations.
  • Ensure all projects are executed in strict compliance with Health, Safety, Environmental (HSE), and Quality standards.
  • Assign and manage resources—internal and subcontracted—to maintain project momentum and achieve quality benchmarks.
  • Source, evaluate, and manage vendor and subcontractor agreements to ensure value, reliability, and compliance with project requirements.
  • Monitor progress at all stages of construction, mechanical/electrical installation, commissioning, and client handover—taking corrective actions as needed.
  • Maintain proactive communication with clients, updating on progress, mitigating risks, and ensuring high satisfaction.
  • Provide regular reporting to the Project Director and stakeholders, including risk assessments, progress metrics, and issue resolution.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Engineering discipline or minimum 8 years of power generation or data center construction experience.
  • Proven experience managing large-scale, multi-million-dollar engineering or EPC projects.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of HSE, Quality, and Commissioning protocols.
  • Strong understanding of the power generation sector, including reciprocating engine systems.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite and scheduling/project controls software.
  • Ability to travel nationally to project sites as needed.
  • Desirable PMP Certification or equivalent project management qualification.
  • Experience with Procore, Primavera P6, or similar project tracking software.
  • Experience in multi-engine containerized solutions and utility interconnect processes.

Important Notice: This position is primarily remote. However, if you reside within a 50-mile radius of a Rehlko site, you may be required to work onsite at least 2-3 business days per week. Rehlko hires candidates only in states where we have an established business presence. We do not hire candidates residing in the following states: AK, AR, DE, HI, ME, ND, NE, VT, WV, WY. Remote work opportunities are also unavailable for these locations.

The Salary range for this position is $113,000.00-$143,950.00. The specific Salary rate offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location.
