Job summary

Clarke Energy-US is seeking a Generator Repair Apprentice to support and maintain distributed power plant solutions, ensuring optimal performance and reliability. You will troubleshoot equipment, perform routine maintenance, and collaborate with engineers to implement improvements.

The role offers remote work on a 4/10 schedule across Michigan and the Midwest, with travel to customer sites and opportunities for professional development.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of basic engine fundamentals, electrical systems, and electro‑mechanical systems.
• Gas engine mechanical and/or electrical knowledge/experience.
• Gas/Diesel engine powered generator training or equivalent technical education.
• Proficiency in using computer systems and software for data analysis and remote troubleshooting.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Progress through our Technician Tier system by increasing knowledge and skills with INNIO gas engines and related solutions.
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing equipment issues and troubleshooting.
• Perform remote diagnostics and troubleshooting to minimize downtime.
• Carry out routine maintenance like oil changes and part replacements.
• Collaborate with engineers to identify process improvements and stay updated on industry trends.
• Adhere to safety protocols to ensure a safe workplace.

Key Responsibilities

• Technical Expertise: Progress through our Technician Tier system by increasing your knowledge and skills, including hands‑on experience with INNIO gas engines, TPI RNG Solutions, and MAN gas engines.
• Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service by promptly addressing equipment issues, troubleshooting problems, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Remote Support: Utilize advanced technologies to diagnose and resolve equipment issues remotely, minimizing downtime and maximizing efficiency.
• Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks, including engine oil changes, part replacements, and data collection, to ensure optimal equipment performance.
• Collaboration: Work closely with our team of engineers and technicians to identify and implement improvements, optimize processes, and stay updated on industry trends.
• Safety: Adhere to strict safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe and compliant work environment.

Qualifications
