Job summary

CGL Electronic Security, Inc. is seeking a full-time Service Technician to service, troubleshoot, and repair electronic security and video surveillance systems for customers in Westwood and surrounding areas.

You’ll join a tight-knit team where senior technicians share knowledge and new ideas are welcomed. A take-home service vehicle is provided, and you’ll rotate on-call for after-hours emergencies.

Qualifications

• 3+ years servicing, installing, or programming access control systems.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean record.
• Experience with Software House is required.
• Ability to travel locally to jobsites; rare overnight travel may be required.
• Comfortable working at heights and using hand/power tools.
• Strong communication and ability to work independently.
• Advanced technical skills related to electronic security and video surveillance.
• Basic computer skills including MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• High school diploma/GED or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent service to every customer, every time
• Respond to service calls, scheduled maintenance, and after-hours calls (on-call rotates approx. every 8 weeks)
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and fix problems with security, access control, and video systems
• Program and configure system software
• Fill out clear, accurate service reports after every job
• Use hand and power tools and work at heights on a ladder or lift when needed
• Represent CGL as the customer’s go-to service provider
