Job summary

Cook Solutions Group is seeking a full-time Security Service Technician to service and install electronic and physical security systems in the San Jose, CA area. Responsibilities include site surveys, system commissioning, and customer training, with travel to client sites as needed.

Ideal candidates have 2-5 years of experience, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to lift up to 100 pounds. Company benefits include a comprehensive plan and 401(k) matching.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2-5 years of electronic and physical security service and installation experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Knowledge of security equipment such as alarm systems, access control, video, CCTV systems, drive up systems.
• Willingness to travel up to a week if necessary.

Responsibilities

• Travels to client’s site for alarm failure troubleshooting and repair.
• Installs and services electronic and physical security products including pulling wire per installation plans.
• Installs and wires electronic equipment used in systems.
• Tests all installed equipment to ensure proper performance and compliance with customers’ requirements and codes.
• Communicates project status information to management and customers as needed.
• Maintains and accounts for all tools, equipment, and inventory.
• Ensures safe operation and maintenance of company vehicle.
