Job summary

Pye-Barker Fire & Safety in Texas is seeking a Security Service Sr. Technician to independently perform advanced service and maintenance of security systems including intrusion alarms, access control, CCTV, and other low-voltage systems.

The role requires strong troubleshooting, the ability to work with minimal supervision, and may involve travel to job sites. Excellent pay and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in fire and life-safety systems maintenance.
• FAL and Texas Security licenses preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
• Valid driver's license with clean record (if driving role).

Responsibilities

• Independently service, troubleshoot, repair, inspect, and maintain security systems.
• Diagnose issues and implement corrective actions promptly.
• Test and verify system functionality meeting codes and customer requirements.
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on low-voltage systems.
• Read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and system layouts.
• Use hand tools and testing equipment to complete service work safely.
• Complete service reports and work orders accurately and on time.
• Communicate effectively with customers and team members.
• Travel to job sites as required.
