Job summary

Wachter, Inc. is seeking a Fire Alarm/Intrusion/Access Control Service Technician to service and install at retail locations across the United States. The role requires working independently, reading blueprints, and supporting pre-installation planning.

Travel up to 20-30% and day shifts with some nights; a vehicle is provided after orientation. We offer competitive pay and comprehensive benefits for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• Must have field installation experience in security environments (Fire Alarm, Intrusion, Access Control).
• Knowledge of NFPA standards (NFPA 70, 72).
• Experience reading blueprints and site maps.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and email/spreadsheet usage.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, and repair cabling and equipment for IP Video, Access Control, Intrusion, and LAN/WAN infrastructure.
• Run low voltage cabling in commercial buildings and perform conduit work as needed.
• Ensure installations meet contractual requirements and total customer satisfaction; complete wiring, terminations, and equipment installs.
• Install or upgrade fire alarm systems and program control panels per plans and layouts.
• Perform tests to verify systems are operational and compliant with codes; adhere to safety requirements.
