Job summary

Vector Security, Inc. is seeking a Security Systems Service Technician to diagnose, repair, program, and upgrade commercial security systems, including intrusion, fire, CCTV, and access control.

The role requires hands-on troubleshooting, networking knowledge, and strong communication with customers. The Senior Technician mentors junior staff and helps enhance service capabilities while ensuring safety and compliance with regulations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• 3–5 years of industry experience preferred.
• State Licensing required.
• ESA Certified Alarm Technician Level 2 or equivalent preferred.
• Excellent customer service, communication, and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial security systems, including access control, CCTV, intrusion alarms, intercoms, and low‑voltage systems.
• Respond to service calls promptly to resolve issues and minimize downtime.
• Perform preventive maintenance inspections and system testing per manufacturer specs.
• Inspect, replace, and upgrade system components as required.
• Program and configure security systems, controllers, cameras, readers, and software platforms.
• Document service activities and recommendations; communicate status and options to customers.
