Job summary

Vector Security is seeking a Security Systems Service Technician to diagnose, repair, program, and upgrade commercial security systems including intrusion, fire, CCTV, and access control. The role requires strong troubleshooting skills, knowledge of IP networks, and the ability to work with both hardwired and wireless systems.

You will mentor junior technicians and collaborate with field supervisors to maintain high service quality and system uptime.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• 3–5 years of industry experience preferred.
• State Licensing required.
• ESA Certified Alarm Technician Level 2 or equivalent preferred.
• NICET Level I preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial security systems (access control, CCTV, intrusion, intercoms).
• Respond to service calls timely and professionally to minimize downtime.
• Perform preventive maintenance inspections and system testing.
• Inspect, replace, and upgrade system components as needed.
• Program and configure security systems and software platforms.
• Document activities and communicate status to customers.
