Job summary

Ally Financial is seeking a qualified Engineer - Physical Security Field Technician to protect facilities and assets by implementing and maintaining enterprise security technologies. You will work with access control, video management, and surveillance systems while coordinating with project teams, vendors, and stakeholders.

The role requires hands-on expertise, the ability to travel domestically, and the capacity to install, test, and support security infrastructure across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in physical security technology or similar role.
• Experience with access control, video management, and surveillance systems.
• Ability to obtain manufacturer, security, and safety certifications within required timeframes.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, troubleshoot, maintain, and support physical security systems (access control, video management, surveillance, credentialing, cabling).
• Interface systems with internal networks and server connectivity; perform system programming.
• Oversee external integrators and guide junior technicians as needed.
• Maintain project documentation, as-built records, and required reports.
• Assist in security assessments, emergency response, and incident management.
