Job summary

Fairbanks Scales is seeking a dedicated Scale Technician to install, calibrate, and repair scales and weighing systems at customer sites. You will document actions with checklists and maintain strong service standards while working with customers and teammates.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, mechanical and electrical aptitude, and a willingness to travel and learn. CDL consideration and weekend work may be required, with emphasis on safety and reliability.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; a technical certificate or 2-year degree is a plus.
• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
• 1–2 years of maintenance, mechanical, industrial, or electrical experience.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Willingness to learn and work with teammates, sales managers, and customers.
• Clean driving record and ability to obtain Class B CDL (interstate).
• Flexibility to work beyond Monday–Friday and occasional weekends.
• Safety-minded and proactive about protecting yourself and others.

Responsibilities

• Installing, calibrating, servicing, and repairing various types of scales and weighing systems.
• Documenting calibration and repair actions with inspection checklists and forms timely and accurate.
• Provide excellent service while interacting with customers and teammates.
