Job summary

Fairbanks Scales Inc. is seeking a dedicated Scale Technician to install, calibrate, and repair a range of scales and weighing systems, from bench to truck scales.

You will ensure instrument accuracy for daily business operations and document actions with care. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent, 1–2 years of maintenance experience, strong mechanical/electrical aptitude, and a willingness to learn.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certificate or 2-year degree is a plus.
• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
• 1–2 years of maintenance, mechanical, industrial, or electrical experience is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Willingness to learn and work with others to complete tasks safely and accurately the first time.
• Clean driving record and ability to obtain and maintain a Class B CDL (interstate).
• Ability to work beyond Monday–Friday eight-hour schedule; some weekend/after-hours work may be required.
• Safety-minded approach to work and safety in all tasks.

Responsibilities

• Install, calibrate, service, and repair various scales and weighing systems.
• Document calibration and repair actions using inspection checklists and forms.
• Provide excellent service while interacting with customers and teammates.
