Job summary

Sysco is seeking an outside sales professional to promote products and services and build relationships with new and existing accounts. The role focuses on helping FreshPoint customers succeed while achieving sales and profit goals, with non-traditional hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

You will develop new business, qualify prospects, and tailor offerings to meet customer needs, while staying informed about market trends and competitors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license with insurability.
• Current automobile insurance with specified limits.
• 1 year of outside foodservice sales experience preferred.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Develop new business and penetrate existing accounts to drive profitable sales growth.
• Qualify prospects following company account stratification goals.
• Research customer needs and tailor product/service mix to meet them.
• Evaluate market trends and recommend products to customers.
• Stay informed about market conditions, product innovations, and competitor offerings.
• Answer customer questions on products, prices, availability, and usage.
• Provide product information and practical training to customer personnel.
• Drive to customer accounts, conventions, and company meetings.
