Job summary

Core-Mark International is seeking a Sales Representative for a field-based role covering Suffolk County, NY. You will start with a base salary during training ($60k–$75k) and earn uncapped commissions on every order after training.

You will travel within the territory, manage existing accounts, and prospect new customers while supporting America’s food distribution system. A reliable vehicle and strong communication are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
• At least two years of sales, account management, or business development experience.
• Must own or have reliable vehicle with valid license and auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Grow sales and profit margins through execution on sales strategy and territory management.
• Prospecting and onboarding of new customer accounts, including cold-calling to ensure a robust pipeline of opportunities.
• Educate the customer on convenience and foodservice programs, new product promotions, marketing policies, service, delivery specifics, and industry activities.
• Review daily/weekly/monthly reports with the store manager and assist with opportunities.
• Minimizes accounts receivable problems by monitoring accounts for credit terms and follow-ups.
• Maintains awareness of pricing trends within the territory to ensure competitive pricing.
• Identify opportunities for campaigns, services, and distribution channels to increase sales.
• Participate in industry events and networking opportunities.
• Performing additional duties as assigned.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Business/Marketing
