Coastal Beverage Company, Inc. is seeking a Sales Representative for Small Format in the Wilmington area to increase market share and manage key accounts.

The role requires a professional appearance, strong time management, and excellent customer service across assigned accounts. Responsibilities include field presence, account forecasting, placing orders, and maintaining product displays while ensuring pricing accuracy and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Possess associate’s degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school, 2-5 years of similar/related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Possess intermediate communication skills including reading and interpreting documents, writing routine reports, and speaking before groups.
• Possess intermediate math skills including discounts, percentages, and volume calculations.
• Possess intermediate reasoning skills to apply instructions and solve problems.
• Possess basic computer skills with inventory/route accounting software, Internet, e‑mail, and word processing.
• Possess ability to maintain regular in-person attendance to support sales operations.
• Possess ability to obtain and maintain an active beer and wine sales license.
• Possess a valid driver’s license and driving record compliant with company standards.

Responsibilities

• Increase market share in assigned accounts and maintain customer relationships.
• Travel: field-based role with regular presence at customer sites during business hours.
• Develop relationships with decision-makers through product knowledge and service.
• Stay compliant with ABC and industry regulations.
• Place product orders and communicate with CSR and Merchandisers about special instructions or issues.
• Analyze and forecast account sales activity considering events, holidays, and promotions.
• Recommend sales improvements via merchandising, promotions, and displays.
• Ensure pricing and POS accuracy; keep products and displays neat and stock in order.
• Maximize opportunities by communicating promotions and new products.
• Rotate products to avoid out-of-code items in accounts.
• Resolve customer complaints, escalate when needed, and maintain service levels.
• Achieve monthly sales goals and monitor performance using sales tools.
