Job summary

Valmont Industries is hiring an Outside Sales Representative in Salina, KS. This role manages sales activities for the Salina galvanizing plant, collaborates with the site GM on pricing and policy, and travels locally to build customer relationships.

Essential duties include preparing sales reports, handling customer communications, analyzing market data, and coordinating presentations to demonstrate galvanizing value. Occasional overnights may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred with 3+ years in sales or 5+ years with an Associate degree.
• Valid Driver’s License and safe driving record are required.
• Ability to travel locally, roughly 50%, with some overnights possible.
• Strong verbal and written communication, and ability to present to groups.
• Ability to interact with all levels of an organization.

Responsibilities

• Prepare periodic sales reports for upper management analyzing volumes.
• Ensure customer communications and orders are attended to promptly.
• Analyze market data to identify potential customers and materials.
• Coordinate sales presentations to educate others about galvanizing value.
• Visit customers to build relationships and discuss product details.
