Job summary

Gilcrest Jewett, a division of US LBM Holdings, LLC, seeks an Outside Sales Representative to generate new sales and maintain existing accounts within the Des Moines and Iowa City metro areas. You will lead cold calls, provide product and quotation support, and coordinate deliveries to ensure customer satisfaction.

The role requires 3 years of sales experience in building materials, a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to travel up to 50% across the territory.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3 years of sales experience in building materials or related industry required.

Responsibilities

• Promote, sell, and secure new accounts for the company.
• Provide existing accounts with necessary products, time, and information.
• Assist with selection of products best suited to customer needs.
• Prepare, coordinate, and communicate price quotations, terms of sales, delivery dates, and service obligations.
• Resolve customer complaints and problems.
• Assist in the collection of accounts receivable.
• Coordinate project schedules, contractor schedules, and material deliveries.
• Prepare and input orders as necessary.
• Inform company of competitive prices, products, and area-related information.
• Maintain knowledge of daily/monthly sales and budget/margin goals.
• Research and order special products as necessary.
• Estimate materials from blueprints supplied by customer/contractor.
• Adhere to Conflict of Interest/Non-Compete if in place.
• Comply with attendance policy.
