Job summary

Altorfer Industries seeks a Product Support Solutions Representative to grow and sustain Parts and Service sales. This outside sales role requires significant driving and visiting customer sites, with after-hours calls as needed.

You will analyze customer needs, present cost-saving service options, and collaborate with the Product Support Sales Manager to forecast growth and target accounts. Proficiency with CRM and sales software is expected.

Qualifications

• A four year undergraduate degree from an accredited college preferred.
• Strong technical knowledge and understanding of heavy equipment / systems & components
• A minimum of at least five years demonstrated previous successful Outside sales record in the construction industry
• Must possess a valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Must have sales skills to effectively help the customer to overcome objections and close the sale.
• Must be a motivated self-starter.
• Must have interpersonal skills sufficient to assist customers and employees in a professional manor.
• Must have sufficient mechanic knowledge to understand customer equipment opportunities and to express these opportunities to the appropriate area within Altrofer.
• Must have sufficient knowledge to effectively utilize Internet, e-mail, spreadsheets, word processing programs and database management.
• Must be able to effectively utilize and/or be fluent in the following within the first 6 months of employment

Responsibilities

• Schedule customer visits in conjunction with PAR requirements.
• Effectively market/communicate offerings and campaigns.
• Sell Altorfer goods and services as solutions to lower costs.
• Provide feedback to drive change and meet market demands.
• Forecast growth potential and identify target accounts.
• Manage customer tool needs and lower owning costs.
• Educate customers on service facilities and capabilities.
• Monitor competitive information to maintain advantage.
• Document and communicate issues impacting customer satisfaction.
• Use Sale Link CRM and other tools per guidelines.
