Job summary

General Motors is offering a Summer 2027 Customer Care and Aftersales Field Sales Operations Internship. This 12-week, project-based program places students in one of GM's five Sales, Service and Marketing regions and includes time in Warren, Michigan for Central Office immersion.

Interns will work alongside District and Zone Managers, gain dealer-facing experience, develop reporting tools, and complete a capstone project addressing a regional opportunity, with travel and full-time hours

Qualifications

Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or related field.
Expected graduation between December 2027 and June 2029.
Valid driver's license.
Available to work full-time, 40 hours per week, during the summer internship.
Willingness to travel extensively within your region.
Willingness to travel to Warren, Michigan for immersion.

Responsibilities

Gather and analyze field-level information with regional and Central Office teams.
Identify trends and key drivers of parts and service performance across markets.
Develop practical insights and reporting tools that support dealer growth.
Support regional initiatives and dealer engagement strategies.
Participate in field visits and shadowing experiences.
Prepare updates on project progress and risks for leaders.
Complete a capstone project with recommendations.
Present findings to regional leaders at internship end.
