Job summary

Phelps-Uniform-Specialists is seeking a Sales Manager – Custom Apparel to lead growth of our Midwest custom apparel business, coach the sales team, and expand key customer relationships. This hands-on role involves spending time in the field with reps and customers to close opportunities.

You'll develop sales strategies, create playbooks, and own the end-to-end process from prospecting to close while traveling 40–60% of the time. The position rewards base pay, uncapped commission, and bonuses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, sales, or related field preferred.
• 7–10+ years of B2B sales experience, ideally in custom apparel, promo products, uniforms, or branded merch.
• CRM experience required (Salesforce preferred).

Responsibilities

• Lead the growth of Phelps' Custom Apparel business and coach sales reps.
• Own the sales process from prospecting through close and develop winning strategies.
• Build relationships with key customers and document best practices.
• Travel throughout the Midwest 40–60% to grow opportunities.
