Responsibilities

As a Field Sales Executive for Wolters Kluwer Tax & Accounting, you will have primary responsibility for driving profitable sales growth within an assigned established account base of CPA firms. You will report to the Divisional Manager, Field Sales. Specific responsibilities include:

  • Learn and understand the full line of Tax & Accounting products, including features, benefits, pricing, intended use, value proposition, and competitive position. Attend training programs for new hires and complete all self-study activities within prescribed timelines.
  • Implement the sales process for Tax & Accounting products and services, stay informed of the process, and meet sales quotas.
  • Manage assigned accounts by reviewing target lists, organizing customers by segment and opportunity, researching contact information, building calling lists, making calls, and maintaining information within Salesforce CRM.
  • Promote new account development through prospecting, conducting meetings (virtual/in-person), participating in industry events, and giving presentations to generate interest.
  • Grow existing customer business by maintaining client relationships, understanding their needs, and conveying the value of WK solutions.
  • Contribute to product development and issue resolution by identifying gaps, working with Product Managers, and managing client expectations regarding product enhancements.
  • Increase TAA market share by identifying opportunities in target accounts and engaging at management and executive levels.
  • Plan and schedule sales activities efficiently, including in-person meetings grouped geographically.
  • Collaborate with colleagues on selling strategies and marketing information, and resolve account/channel conflicts with the sales team.
  • Develop and update an annual business plan based on pipeline predictions, business updates, and forecasts. Participate in weekly communication with the Divisional Sales Manager.
Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Marketing, or related field; or 6+ years of software/SaaS field sales experience if no degree.

Experience: Minimum of 5 years in B2B sales, including experience with software/SaaS, prospecting, exceeding sales quotas, creating business plans, networking, delivering presentations, and proficiency with CRM tools like Salesforce.

Skills & Abilities: Proficiency in consultative sales, ability to work independently, experience in matrix organizations, awards in sales performance, formal sales training, flexibility, and facilitation skills.

Travel

Up to 30% annually for client visits, industry events, and trade shows.

Compensation

Target salary range for CA, CT, CO, DC, HI, IL, MD, MN, NY, RI, WA: $95,560 - $133,750
