Job summary

TAL Building Centers in Dillon, MT is seeking an outside sales professional to drive transaction growth across assigned accounts and prospect new customers at construction sites. You will manage the sales process end-to-end, negotiate all deal phases, prepare quotes, and ensure timely closing to deliver an exceptional customer experience.

We value teamwork, a strong knowledge of building materials, and the ability to read blueprints.

Qualifications

• Minimum education of High School or equivalent.
• At least 5 years’ selling experience in the building materials industry.
• Ability to work as a team and communicate effectively.
• Knowledge of blueprint reading.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and Point of Sale programs.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to visit customer job sites.

Responsibilities

• Identify potential customers and present tailored solutions.
• Manage assigned accounts and build relationships with existing customers.
• Observe work in progress at construction sites to determine material needs.
• Consult with customers to determine requirements and prepare information on design, materials, costs.
• Prepare estimates and process quotes, POs, tickets, changes, invoices, etc.
• Coordinate with yard, store and office to fulfill the sales order and ensure a great customer experience.
• Handle special orders, credits, refunds, returns and exchanges.
