Job summary

TAL Building Centers seeks an in-branch sales associate to serve existing account customers and walk-in customers, guiding them through project-based sales. You will manage the sales process from leads to closing, coordinate with yard and office teams, and ensure an exceptional customer experience.

This onsite role requires teamwork, effective communication, and knowledge of contractor sales. Full-time with comprehensive benefits, including training and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Minimum education of High School or equivalent.
• 1-2 years sales experience, preferably in building industry or construction environment.
• Must be able to work as a team and communicate effectively.
• Good understanding of contractor sales process.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office tools and Point of Sale Programs.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop potential customers and make effective sales presentations.
• Establish relationships with potential customers and assess their requirements to offer tailored solutions.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers, ensuring needs are met and concerns are addressed.
• Consult with customers to determine functional and spatial requirements and prepare information regarding design, specifications, materials, equipment, estimated costs and building time.
• Prepare estimates and process all quotes, purchase orders, tickets, changes, invoices, etc. while following Quote Management Guidelines.
