Job summary

Amphenol Communications Solutions (ACS) in Austin, TX is seeking a Field Sales Engineer to join our Enterprise and Data Center Sales teams. You will bridge our engineering, product, and sales groups to drive design wins and long-term customer partnerships across data center, telecom, and industrial segments.

The ideal candidate has a technical engineering background and 5+ years of field sales or applications experience in interconnects, with a proven ability to translate complex specifications

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering with Business/Marketing aptitude or a Bachelor's in Business with work experience in a technical sales field
• Knowledge of interconnect solutions industry
• 5+ years of field sales and applications experience in interconnect, passive, electromechanical components

Responsibilities

• Provide sales leadership and work closely with Field Applications Engineer and Business Units
• Promote and sell Amphenol products with established customers and developing new prospects
• Identify interconnect opportunities and work with the customer's engineering team to design in new products
• Develop and implement sales plans and growth strategy for territory and customers
• Meet and exceed strategic objectives and sales quota via new design wins and channel management
• Motivate customers to increase product content on the design
• Support technical aspects of the sales cycle including marketing support for product development and implementation
• Provide customer service to solve interconnect problems and inquiries
• Track orders and revenue by customer
• Build rapport and provide customer support for samples, delivery dates, drawings and specs
• Understand market and competition in territory; stay informed about new products
