Phillips Infrastructure is seeking a Safety Specialist for field-based work with frequent travel to vegetation management sites. You will support the Safety Manager, conduct inspections, and facilitate training to ensure compliance with safety protocols and industry standards.

The role requires delivering safety documentation, participating in job briefings, and conducting onboarding and training for new hires while staying current with federal, state, and client safety inspections and audits.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety and Health or related field.
• Two years of safety management experience, or five years in related safety management/vegetation management.
• Professional safety certification preferred (ASP/GSP); CTSP or ISA/Utility Specialist also preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Responsabilidades

• Conduct regular walk-through inspections of vegetation management sites and yards to ensure safety compliance with company, client, and regulatory standards (ANSI Z133 and OSHA).
• Observe work practices and inspect equipment (aerial lifts, chippers, chainsaws, vehicles) for safe operation and PPE use.
• Identify and document hazardous conditions and follow up on corrective actions.
• Prepare safety documentation, including inspection reports and corrective procedure recommendations.
• Collaborate with Safety Manager to plan inspections and manage safety supplies.
• Assist in investigations of injuries, incidents, and property damage with data and reports.
• Deliver safety training to crew members (aerial rescue, first aid/CPR, equipment safety).
• Support inspections and audits by federal, state, local authorities and clients.
